Moving on swiftly..

Hello and welcome to The Rising Sun! Without further ado, I shall dive straight in...

The weekend was a bit hit and miss really; Saturday was shocking as we watched a terrible performance from Bangor deservedly earn them a 3-0 loss to TNS at their place. The worst thing about the game was all the mind numbing shrieking kids - it wasn't at all a football match atmosphere. Instead, it felt like a horrible seven year old's birthday where everything is corrupt and wrong.

Sunday brought better fortune as we watched (on TV) United go to Anfield, get through all of the Hillsborough build up and take more points from one game than Liverpool have got all season! Great stuff, not the best of performances and a few key players missing but United manage to get these big results that they need. Now they sit 2nd and are looking good for it! Tonight they hold my focus, as they're playing a Cup game at home to Newcastle and should play some younger lads (as we have MUTV, we've become familiar with the youths) and hope to get through to the next round!

The turn of this week has brought with it some horrible weather, rain all day Monday, most of Tuesday and less again today - winter is coming is all I can think! The weather postponed a League Cup game that was to be played between Bala Town and Bangor City yesterday, now the game is next Tuesday and quite a problem has been created: Man United are playing a Champions League match, Shrewsbury are playing a cup match against Crewe and of course the Bala - Bangor match. Deciding which one to go to is something I'm not looking forward to!

Speaking of Shrewsbury, this weekend I am to embark on my first Saturday and my first lone trip to Greenhous Meadow as the Shrews host Swindon! Bangor are playing away at Carmarthen which is a 200+ mile round trip that neither me or Dad fancy, and I'd rather get out to a game than watch United on tele. After a 2-2 draw at Hartlepool last weekend, Shrewsbury - and I - will be hoping for 3 points!

Hopefully then, Bangor can bounce back, United can carry on some good form and Shrewsbury can pick up some points this weekend! Thanks for reading!
-Andy.
