Driving!
First of all, on Sunday I turned 17! It was mostly a good day but overshadowed by feeling really ill, like I have been many days and had many days in the past week off college because of this. I don't really feel too much different for being 17 but of course I can now start learning to drive which I am very much pleased about. On Sunday morning I went out into an empty car park with Mum, she taught me how to start a car and I even did some laps!! I was amazed at how easy it all was and was really looking forward to my first driving lesson.
Yesterday morning was my first lesson, I was picked up and taken onto Morda Road where - to my surprise - I was put in the drivers seat and was driving for the whole hour! We went through loads of different surrounding villages and went in a big circle, ending up back at my house. The lesson went well, a lot of gear changing and manoeuvring were very dominant. I only made one big mistake, a quiet right turning where I had to change gear and left the clutch down when trying to accelerate - Doh!
So, I break up for Christmas holidays on Tuesday and am very much looking forward to that! Two weeks off college of as many lazy days as I want and avoiding the frosty, cold weather sounds very good. I would like to thank Robin van Persie for his fantastic birthday present on Sunday - his extra time free kick to beat Man City! How brilliant that was! Also, on Saturday I was at Nantporth for my first game in a while to watch Bangor best Aberdare Town 4-1 in the Welsh Cup. Not too bad a game and very good to see Bangor progressing!
This weekend, Bangor are at home against Carmarthen so I will probably find myself there. United are at home to Sunderland so that will hopefully be 3 more points, keeping at least 6 points between us and City!

Under the weather
So, it is currently 2 and a bit days until I turn seventeen! I'm mostly looking forward to starting driving lessons of course, but also will quite enjoy seeing family members and eating food of my choice - probably chilli con carne!
Last weekend I made a very important and rewarding decision - I was in town, freezing cold, with my friends at twenty past two and chose to rather than stand around bored and desperately cold, go home to watch the England rugby. In the previous two matches, England had fallen just short against Australia and South Africa but Twickenham still stood full of proud English folk, hoping that somehow they could get a result against New Zealand.
New Zealand did their pre-match dance to try and imitate England, only to be drowned out by the fantastic crowd chanting swing low, sweet chariot. The match was brilliant and just as it looked like the All Blacks were going to take the lead, a flurry of spontaneous tries saw a good distance between the two sides.
A very proud match and result indeed! Bangor didn't fare so well and lost to TNS - the scum themselves - due to some terrible officiating. Bangor are still top of the table though! United narrowly saw off Reading in a 4-3 goal fest.
Sunday, me and Mum traveled to Wrexham and I chose a new suit (Christmas gift). It has two excellent inside pockets - a feature all jackets should have.
I have finally fallen to the same cold virus as everyone in my house and had the day off college today because of it. Not good!
This weekend, I am heading off to Bangor on Saturday for a Welsh Cup game, then Sunday is the much anticipated day of course! Hopefully United can give me a present in the form of beating City!
Finally, the brilliant Lower Than Atlantis have released a Christmas song! Join the campaign to see them at top spot instead of some shambolic boyband or X Factor group this Christmas by buying the single!

My new boots!
Hello people! The countdown to Christmas is now on!
Also, my birthday on December 9th is fast upcoming and I have great anticipation as I will turn seventeen and be eligible to drive! I will definitely be taking lessons soon and hopefully passing my test!
Focusing on the present, today I sorted out a recent problem as weather has gotten colder and wetter; purchasing the boots pictured below (courtesy of my Mum!) The problem I've had is in my typical day I walk to and from college twice and walk my dog. For college walking I've either been wearing cheap canvas shoes which are terrible for the conditions or adidas football trainers that aren't much better.
For dog walking, I have somehow managed in last year's school shoes. These seem to attract water and the result of all this is using two or three pairs of socks every day!
So, the boots will improve my life as they are warmer and much more waterproof - they'd also be better for kicking people!
Football wise, the weekend was great! Bangor battled to a 3-2 win in South Wales while TNS lost 3-0 at home to Carmarthen!!! This means Bangor are top of the table and 3 points ahead of TNS going into Saturday's match against them. United also won while City drew so they also went top of the league!
A decent few days indeed, I'm hopeful now that both can win again at the weekend!

3 day weekend!!
Hello!
So it's almost a week since the beginning of my life with a supreme gadget that's taken shape as a Sony Xperia U. I have definitely enjoyed having it, there's always something to do.
One thing I have found very entertaining is Football Manager Handheld. Whilst browsing the available apps, I saw the 2013 version for £5 and was interested but didn't want to risk a bad investment so i managed to get the 2012 version free!
I've been managing Bangor City and been glued to my phone screen! I think it's definitely an improvement from my old BlackBerry, and it's on a cheaper contract!
Music wise, this weekend I ordered Changing Tune (pictured below) the new Lower Than Atlantis album. Once again my faith in Amazon was renewed as it came after two days! I've only listened a few times so far and am liking it. Love Someone Else and Normally Strange are two highlights.
So at the weekend, Bangor beat Airbus 2-0 on Friday and are level on points with 1st place, only behind on goal difference. On Saturday me and some of the boys were at the cricket club for a day of sport. The day was decent, but results were not as England lost in the rugby and United lost to Norwich. Shrewsbury got a pleasing home win as consolation though!
. Due to a taster day on Friday, I will be having a 3 day weekend! This is nothing short of marvellous. I will again not be watching Bangor as they play away at Afan Lido which is about 120 miles away. I will though be watching England in a tough game against South Africa.

Arrivals a-plenty!
Hello people! I'm sorry about this post being late!
I've had quite a mad today, a lot to talk about! First of all, I ordered a Lower Than Atlantis medium sized shirt last weekend, it came but was far too big so we sent it back and requested an exchange for a small which came today and is a much better fit!
Then, as it is now less than a month until I turn 17 and begin learning to drive, we recently ordered my provisional license which also came today.
Finally, Mum yesterday got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and it instantly impressed me and thinking I'd have to live with a BlackBerry until February just killed me, so I drastically cancelled my contact, ordered a freepost bag to sell it on a cash for mobiles type site and ordered a Sony Xperia U! This completed the treble when it arrived today.
It truly is a pleasing device and provides a lot more than the BlackBerry. I am sure the many apps will keep entertainment levels at a high!
Finally, last weekend I enjoyed a good England rugby performance and a dramatic and unsurprising Man United comeback as they remain top of the league. Bangor didn't play and Shrewsbury lost. This weekend shall be rathet similar as I don't think I can get to the Bangor match tomorrow night and Saturday is rugby leading into Man United.

Back to a working week!
This is because half term has ended and college has returned, it feels a lot longer than usual considering the whole week off was brilliant and the countdown to the Christmas holidays is on!! The rest of last week was spent relaxing and going up to Bangor on Friday night on a very cold evening to witness loads of visiting Norwegians getting drunk and Bangor securing a comfortable 3-0 win. Saturday again was centred around football, this time witnessing a United win.
So, it is currently Wednesday which means I'm making the most of this very welcome day off which is marvellous at splitting the week up and helping towards the weekend. It is quite strange how Mondays and Tuesdays seem to be a struggle and drag on a bit while Thursdays and Fridays zoom by. At this halfway point in the week, my thoughts are pretty much all about the weekend and enjoying the England autumn internationals (rugby union matches) kicking off with a game against Fiji.
I quite enjoy watching rugby, especially England, but don't really follow any of the clubs. This is probably because my Dad doesn't either. If I had to pick, it'd probably be Harlequins or Leicester Tigers - both entertaining to watch and full of plenty of English players.
Giving Fifa a rest, I have (finally) started playing Skyrim again and can't believe I've not been on it in such a long time, it's a fantastic game with always something to do. Who doesn't enjoy slaying dragons?

Half term!
I do have good reasoning though, as yesterday I went with Connor and Jack to Wrexham to see Skyfall! Skyfall is the new James Bond 007 movie, and wow it was good. Daniel Craig is a fantastic Bond who never disappoints, the whole production was crafted so well together and everything was right - it's hard to find faults with that film. Anyone thinking about it, I would definitely recommend going!!
Then, due to missing buses and some being very late, I wasn't home until half seven when Coronation Street was followed by Chelsea v Man United in the League Cup.Which brings me to the weekend; first of all we broke up for half term so this week has been nice and relaxing, Friday night I had a celebratory curry at the Highwayman - my first public restaurant curry! Exciting stuff, then me, Dad and Declan went to watch Bangor thrash Connah's Quay 6-2 at Connah's Quay.
On Sunday me and the family went up to Caernarfon to see my Dad's brother Phil and his wife Jan until Tuesday. We celebrated Mum's 39th with a lovely meal in Wetherspoons (Chilli con carne of course) and exploring the town a bit. Also, on Sunday we watched Chelsea v United in the league, a thrilling game that resulted in a United win to close the gap to 1 point.
So, the match last night was disappointing that United lost, but, I would much rather have won on Sunday than last night. Today I have been doing some college work and this album came! (Below) I ordered it on Sunday for £3 brand new from Amazon - after two listens, that seems an absolute bargain!!
